We are developing Ekoguru in phases, first we developed the energy efficiency and solar section, which already won some great awards. Next we will develop the water section. Ekoguru is designed to make a massive impact on how we use water and change habits. Some of the elements we designed to achieve this include: • Ekoguru is free, no need for expensive measuring equipment or sign up fees. • Our Quiz generator allows schools or NGO’s to develop quizzes around the sustainability issues addressed in Ekoguru, giving them a tool that is free and help them measure the effectiveness of their campaign or lesson plan. • Suppliers of energy efficient products can promote or introduce their latest and best water saving solutions on Ekoguru. • Since Ekoguru is aimed at the international market it can be a Trojan horse for all the other great South African water related products to get international exposure. • Clever utilities and municipalities can use Ekoguru in their Demand Management Programs, they can even deliver their bills through Ekoguru. • Ekoguru is a platform that will include all sustainable sectors, so you don’t have to go to another site to learn about efficient electricity, transport or building greener houses, catching more users for water awareness. • People can share and vote for water saving tips, allowing only the best and most relevant information to be available. • Users can dare their friends to some fun challenges to save water. • Big Data gathered from Ekoguru would be valuable for decision .
