DSI is based in Dybvad outside Aalborg and Vejle in Denmark, and serves a global customer base. The company is the global leader in developing and manufacturing plate freezers and related handling and automation systems. These freezers are used to rapidly freeze fish (both for onshore and offshore applications), animal feed, meat, fruit and vegetables, juice, etc. in wide blocks, which can then be stored or transported easily. Production of freezers takes place in Dybvad and engineering of handling and automation solutions takes place in Vejle, Denmark. The company sells through distributors and dealers, and has own sales offices in the US, South Korea and Russia, in addition to Denmark.
