The “Clean Bite™” is a single use ingestible or disposable alternative toothbrush resembling a mouthpiece. Gently configured to the bite, it brushes the teeth, gingival margin, and the tongue while freshening the breath simply by chewing it for a utility period of 60-90 seconds when it then dissolves. Comprised of gelatin and other GRAS (generally recognized as safe) materials it is an edible “food stuff” that can be ingested but if disposed, it is biodegradable making it environmentally friendly. Gelatin (or collagen) is the main component of the formulation and contains ≈ 85%+ protein. Dentifrice is distributed equally throughout the bite channels via four reservoirs that rupture upon compression. Xylitol is a component of either the dentifrice or the material formulation to ensure that the normal pH level is achieved to overt the production of harmful acid.
