The wires, business practices and technology necessary to deliver clean, affordable energy (the Grid) is 120 years old. Our vision at Community Energy Labs (CEL) is to affordably enable communities’ building decarbonization goals by 2030. We create social impact by offering mid-size organizations effective IT solutions and service packages for meeting these goals, ultimately accelerating decarbonization and slowing climate change.
Our clean building control package is standardized, easy-to-use, and low-cost. Our service offer includes a one time one-day install to retrofit existing equipment with sensors and controllers. Once installed CEL charges a fee to monitor, predict and control energy using machine learning. With savings of 5-25% an average CA commercial building portfolio of 200k sq. ft. would pay back its investment in under two months.
It's accessible for even historically underserved buildings that shelter some of our most vulnerable populations - schools, tribal governments, and other public facilities - without sacrificing grounding in advanced building automation expected by large, wealthy building owners.
