CoMakers Africa is a privately-owned makerspace and innovation center with its headquarters in Nigeria. CoMakers Africa seeks to build human capacities and capital through strategic investments in technology-based education and training. It is a community technology and learning centers which provides youth with life skills training that will transition them from education to work or entrepreneurship. With longstanding economic problems and endemic poverty, the creation of new, sustainable jobs and livable incomes measured not in dollars per day, but thousands per month is the preeminent issue among Africa’s diverse nations. CoMakers Africa was designed primarily to foster community involvement, robust teaching and learning, engaging environment that provides support to learners in terms of resources, technical assistance, the physical space, and collaboration.
