CleanSlate Centers is a collection of outpatient addiction treatment centers that specializes in the treatment of opioid dependence with medical management utilizing buprenorphine (Suboxone) and naltrexone (Vivitrol). For patients with other non-opioid substance use issues we also provide adjunctive treatment with Vivitrol and other evidence-based treatments. How we do it: From the first confidential visit at CleanSlate, our providers work to determine the best course of treatment for the patient's unique circumstances, always with compassion and respect. What we believe: Much like asthma, diabetes, and heart disease, opioid dependence is a chronic disease and is best treated utilizing the principle of harm reduction. Suboxone and Vivitrol can reduce the potential for harm in patients with chronic opioid dependence by decreasing relapse and eliminating symptoms of withdrawal. Substance use disorder is not just a "bad habit"; it's an addictive disorder that requires medical management coupled with behavioral therapy (counseling, etc.). Research has shown that successful remission of opioid dependence requires this combination of treatment to maximize the likelihood of long-term abstinence. Our addiction treatment programs utilize these principles and the results are seen every day in the progress and success of our patients.
