PIC technology, valued at around $15 billion, is crucial for data-telecommunications and emerging fields like HPC, AI, and quantum computing. While mature platforms like Silicon Photonics fall short, thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) shows promise but needs further development for reliability and market adoption. Leveraging our 5 years of experience at CSEM, we aim to support prototyping and pilot production for academia and industry with monolithic and heterogeneous solutions. Our open-access company will utilize CSEM's cleanroom services to deliver high-end PICs, in first phase, and a dedicated production fab in next phases. Led by an experienced tech manager, we aim to become the market leader in the TFLN PICs segment within the next 5 years, focusing on B-to-B.
