The Casita Coalition believes that small homes - ADUs, cottage clusters, and duplexes - can improve housing choice and opportunity throughout California. We promoted recent landmark state ADU laws that now help tens of thousands of California families add a “Casita” to their backyard.
Our Coalition includes planners, advocates, academics, builders, architects, business associations, and retired professionals dedicated to working together to expand these naturally affordable “Casitas” through all types of neighborhoods in California. Working in coalition, we develop and share best practices and policies with homeowners, practitioners and decision-makers state-wide.
