The Carbon Checkout option is found on the checkout page, where consumers can choose to round up their purchase price to the nearest dollar, or they can select a preset dollar amount for a larger carbon offset contribution. Carbon Checkout pools these micro-contributions to purchase carbon offsets in renewable energy and carbon capture projects on the customer’s behalf.
Carbon Checkout sends participating customers a confirmation e-mail verifying their carbon offset purchase following checkout. A personal offset portfolio is immediately generated where customers can track all present and future offset contributions to engage with the renewable energy and carbon capture projects they help make possible.
