Burgundy Oak was founded in 2015 by a young entrepreneur named Zac Hartley. For Zac, the company was born out of passion for wine and woodworking. After landing a short segment on CTV News, Zac proved that his product could sell.
Since inception, Zac's partnered with Nick White, Torin Hofmann & Austin Still to grow the company from a hobby project to a international manufacturer supplying more than 500 stores across North America.
2018 was the ultimate game changer. In this year, Burgundy Oak attended shows (both retail and wholesale) across North America and in one short year, went from 4 partners to 12 full-time employees and over 500 stores carrying their products. Burgundy Oak was fortunate enough to be featured on Dragons’ Den, CTV, Global News, District Ventures, and many more outlets. The company has even signed a licensing deal with Jack Daniel’s and recently added authentic Tennessee Whiskey Barrels to the product line. The growth experienced in this year was something the partners had only dreamed about. Growing from a two car garage to breaking 1 million in sales in such a short time was directly attributed to the team Zac had built.
