BUGATTI Automobiles is based in Molsheim, Alsace (France) and stands for utmost technological performance and outstanding design and comfort. It is positioned at the very pinnacle of the luxury hyper sports cars market.
The brand was founded in 1909 by Ettore Bugatti and made its mark through a huge number of racing successes in the 1920s and 30s. Ettore’s eldest son Jean, an exceptionally gifted designer, expanded BUGATTI’s portfolio for a number of distinguished coach-built bodyworks; the most outstanding: the Type 41 Royale and the Type 57 SC Atlantic, which today belong to the most exclusive and valuable collectors’ items.
BUGATTI ceased its operations soon after Ettore Bugatti’s death in 1947. After a brief but striking renaissance between 1987 and 1995 (EB 110 and EB 112 in Campogalliano/Italy), BUGATTI was successfully revived at its original headquarters in Molsheim in 2005 with the 1.001 PS VEYRON 16.4. Up to 2015 it sold 450 VEYRON including its derivatives Grand Sport, Super Sport and Grand Sport Vitesse.
With the 1,500 PS CHIRON and its product family (Sport, Pur Sport, Super Sport), as well as the revival of BUGATTI’s coach-building tradition with the limited editions DIVO, CENTODIECI and LA VOITURE NOIRE, the brand continues its flourishing development of producing the fastest, most powerful, most luxurious and most exclusive hyper sports cars - culminating in the Chiron Super Sport 300+ and its world record of more than 304 mph in 2019.
The company has 34 dealerships and service partners in 17 countries and a unique customer care program to ensure all models longevity. From 2016 onwards it has added to its portfolio a selection of non-automotive products from partners who match in their specific business and mind-set to its vehicles’ excellence.
BUGATTI is constantly thriving to live up to Ettore Bugatti’s quest for perfection, beauty, technological progress and singularity – pursuing the famous claim of its founder: “If comparable, it is no longer Bugatti”.
