The Bocconi Students Investment Club (BSIC) is the oldest student organization in our University that aims to promote and offer a wide variety of finance related activities throughout the Bocconi community by organizing conferences or trading simulations, networking with professionals and developing relations with all the main market operators such as banks, asset management firms, private equity and venture capital funds, etc.
Joining the BSIC you could have the chance to establish effective relationships with other colleagues with similar interests, in order to stimulate continuous learning and awareness of recent trends and developments.
Our goals are ambitious:
1. Play a central role in exchanging ideas and skills useful in the financial world or for a future career in finance;
2. Spread a more thorough understanding of how financial markets function and operate;
3. Build an extensive network of passionate individuals, organizations, financial institutions, investment banks, etc. active in the European securities industry;
4. Help students gain a "hands-on" knowledge of what they study in class. We achieve this for example by managing a virtual porfolio of assets, by applying sophisticated valuation techniques to real-world corporations, by actively searching for profitable investment opportunities based on fundamental equity research, by pricing, trading and risk managing complex securities;
Membership is highly selective. We hold multiple recruitment sessions a year where we try to select the most bright and motivated people in Bocconi.
