In March 2021, PCP IV provided a seven-year loan facility of SEK 250m to Brofund Group. Brofund Group is the holding company of the Swedish entrepreneurs Johan and Mikael Karlsson, the founders of Slättö Förvaltning and MW Group. Slättö Förvaltning is a Swedish based property investor and MW Group is a technology-driven security service provider active in the Nordic region.
Brofund Group is an active investor, building long-term strategic businesses such as Slättö Förvaltning and MW Group, investing in disruptive venture investments such as Klarna, Einride, VOI, doktor.se and SIBS as well as investing into more mature companies.
The loan proceeds will be used to refinance existing debt, to support Brofund’s investments in its long-term strategic businesses and to further grow its investment activities.
PCP appreciates Brofund’s successful track record of building companies and its strong industrial network. We find Brofund to be well positioned to continue develop its portfolio companies and supporting venture companies with capital and knowledge over the coming years.
