BrewGene was founded in 2009 by two craft beer aficionados, John “Mugg” Muggeridge and Connor Tyrrell, living in Boston and tired of navigating the shelves of new and unknown craft beers. Mugg thought, “I've had enough beer in my life; I should be able to know whether or not I'll like this six pack before I buy it.” And Connor said, “Sure, I can build that.”
Eight years later, BrewGene helps users track and discover craft beers that they will enjoy. More than 175,000 users already rely on BrewGene, creating powerful insights that guide our recommendation engine.
Through the mobile app, craft beer drinkers can rate beers, see recommendations for new beers to try, locate bars nearby and check-in socially, and find comprehensive beer and brewery profiles.
We hope you enjoy. Cheers!
