Together, Matt Mugar and Walter Lopes have 30+ years experience in Freight Management. Working with a few national brokers and national carriers in the past, both decided it was time to start a company based on their vision. Originally renting a room from Matt's mom back in 2009, it was there where they set up 2 desks, 2 phones, and 2 computers and went to work into building the company now called BOA.
Since Matt and Walter met years before and were training partners and Instructors in the Brazilian martial art called Capoeira, they found it fitting to use the Portuguese word "boa" to represent their company.The word "boa" means good in Portuguese.
BOA is now in its 3rd office space, with full time operations and sales staff.
