Stone Point assisted Black Mountain with sales and marketing, including numerous successful client introductions. Stone Point supported management with the expansion into new client end markets, including direct lending, commercial banks, alternative assets, investment consultants and insurance companies. Stone Point leveraged its experience in the asset & wealth management technology software space to guide management’s focus toward maximizing higher-value, recurring-revenue streams and helped streamline the contracting process to enhance client retention and growth. Stone Point also implemented best governance practices at the board level and introduced value-added independent directors. Stone Point played a key role in helping Black Mountain execute its first tuck-in acquisition, which improved the company’s competitive positioning in direct lending. Stone Point facilitated all of Black Mountain’s third-party debt financings, providing capital to make distributions and to complete its first acquisition. Stone Point also assisted in creating a management incentive plan to increase alignment and management participation in value creation.
