Biosignatures is an AI Cloud software company. We support advanced blood sample analysis for use in a health ecosystem. Personalised healthcare, where results and treatments are tailored to the individual, has the promise to not only allow people to live longer lives, but also to enjoy more of those years in good health. Success requires a deep level of understanding, cooperation, and communication across many domains — an ecosystem of skilled partners working together. Advances in modern medicine have led to huge benefits, with people experiencing longer and healthier lives. Despite this, even in OECD countries, 1 in 4 deaths are considered premature and on average we will experience 16 years of potentially avoidable chronic ill health. Empowering individuals with information they can act upon, advising and supporting them, can help them achieve longer, healthier lives. Biosignatures contribute a core, Cloud delivered, software analytics technology to the ecosystem that can provide health insights for multiple conditions from a single drop of blood. Our innovative approach takes a powerful research technique and, through systematically improved workflows and algorithms, adapts it for consistent use in large populations. The technology provides not only information about multiple proteins, but also distributions of modifications (including N and O glycosylations). These modifications have long been known to have significant involvement in infection and disease processes. We have completed an ‘in clinic’ proof of concept in prostate cancer and are currently extending into other cancers and chronic disease areas. The vision is to build a ‘Universal Health Screen’ through incremental advances with partners in the ecosystem — an annual health check from a single drop of blood via a home test kit. Our commercial model is to share in a proportion of the per sample value generated across the whole ecosystem — reaching as many people as possible worldwide.
