BioFashionTech makes use of a scalable innovative biotech process to turn pre and post-consumer textile waste into valuable products that can be used for biocomposites and chemistry. Furthermore, we separate out polyester and dyes to create a closed loop solution. The technology does not involve the use of any harmful chemistry and can process cotton, viscose, poly/cotton blends. As a result, BioFashionTech brings 85% of textile waste that currently is incinerated or ends up in landfills to sustainable, circular biobased products. At the same time we reduce the amount of fossil fuel used to make synthetic fibres, which account for 52% of the global fibre market.
