Merging the online and offline world, the promotional and informative app BeaconMi offers in-store engagement. It works through iBeacon technology using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which is light on battery use. Discounts and promotions can be offered through BeaconMi?s notification alert on the lock screen of users when they are within walking distance of the store. There is no need for them to open the app itself, but once in-store the users can turn on their apps to learn more about discounts, recommendations or stories about the merchandise or space.
