Barcode Beasties is an update of the old "Barcode Battler" with pokemon type monsters and online playing in a 3d Arena. However, although there is revenue based from the players purchasing in game additions, the true value lies in the amount of data being gathered via all barcodes being scanned by the player - although the game is very much in beta, over 300,000 barcodes have been scanned so far by players around the world. Just from this information, I can confirm (unsurprisingly) that Mountain Dew is the most popular drink / scanned product in Google HQ !! (All barcodes scanned are location tagged regardless of whether the player "uses" them in the game or not)
