B-Mex specializes in making simulation models available to the Greenhouse Industry and beyond. Existing models can be accessed interactively via the Web, and new models are developed. The production process in Horticulture has become more complex as a result of rapid developments in technology and in the market. Of course, cultivation management is still very important, but trade, fuel efficiency and production planning have grown in importance tremendously. Building simulation models is a smart way of connecting scientific knowledge with real-time data from individual nurseries. Models thus become tools which the Grower can use to assess the current state of their crops, obtain and harvest predictions and to explore greenhouse climate management options and energy costs for the coming weeks.
