Produktion av naturanaloga industrikemikalier
Axichem utvecklar, patenterar och marknadsför naturanaloga industrikemikalier. Axichems produkt är den naturanaloga substansen fenylcapsaicin, ett syntetiskt framställt och patenterat capsaicin.
Fenylcapsaicin kan användas på flera sätt. Som ingrediens i marin påväxthämmande färg, som tillskott i fjäderfäfoder och inom enskilda farmaceutiska områden. Bolaget fokuserar just nu på området fjäderfäfoder, då produkten aXiphen® i studier visat potentiella egenskaper som tillväxtpromotor och anti-salmonella-ingrediens i fodret.
Axichem vill bli en global leverantör av industriella naturanaloga kemikalier till aktörer i den kemiska industrin. Bolaget fick i september 2019 ett Novel Food-godkännande från EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) vilket öppnar upp för full kommersialisering på den europeiska marknaden.
