Until now, high-resolution satellite imagery has been a costly and infrequent service, often available only to national governments. Axelspace leverages the flexibility and low cost of microsatellite technology to make space, and access to its data, an everyday reality for private companies and research institutions. Axelspace's primary project, AxelGlobe, is launching a constellation of 50 microsatellites into orbit, each the size of the palm of your hand and 1/10th the cost of traditional satellites, enabling high-frequency access to information like accurate forecasts, ideal harvest times, and the detection of illegal logging.
