Wikipedia meets YouTube
AV Squid lets users curate their own custom web-based video channels. There will be native apps for set-top boxes like Apple TV, Google TV, Boxee, and Roku. A user-created channel can be about a topic, for example a channel of every documentary about an artist. A channel can also be a custom playlist of videos from an event, for example a channel of every talk given at a conference. A channel can also be used similar to a greeting card, like Instagram for video. I know that people want this product because 35 hours of video are uploaded to Youtube every minute and nobody is doing an effective job of curating that video in any meaningful way.
