Apps that make kids communicate
Avaz is the highest-rated iPad/Android app for kids with autism and other disabilities. It helps develop communication and language capability, complementing speech therapy and special education. Children use Avaz to select pictures from a vocabulary of 5000+ words, from which Avaz creates a sentence that is spoken out with a natural-sounding voice. Avaz is available in localized versions for USA, Denmark, Australia, India and Italy, with more countries on the way. Avaz is complemented by a new invention, FreeSpeech. FreeSpeech is a patent-pending, potentially disruptive technology that creates a 'visual grammar'. FreeSpeech featured in a TED talk: ted.com/talks/ajit_narayanan_a_word_game_to_communicate_in_any_language
