AVAVA is a precision skin therapy company currently based in Waltham, MA. The Company was launched in 2017 out of Boston-based Blossom Innovations, dermatology, an incubator associated with the research laboratories of Dr. Rox Anderson and Dr. Dieter Manstein, serial scientist-entrepreneurs behind many commercially successful innovations in the aesthetic dermatology space over the past 20+ years. AVAVA’s novel laser platform addresses key technological limitations of existing laser technologies by enabling depth control of the energy density of the beam, limiting the energy exposure to the skin surface and thereby increasing the safety margin for all skin tones. The Company’s first two FDA cleared products are a device for skin tightening and rejuvenation (Miria) and another for correcting dyspigmentation including melasma.
