We processpersonal data in accordance with the applicable data protection law, in particular the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679; GDPR).

Data processing by Facebook
Please be aware that you use our Facebook page and its functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of the interactive functions (e.g. commenting and sharing).

When you visit our Facebook page, Facebook collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is stored on your computer in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us with statistical information about the use of the Facebook page.

The data collected about you in this context is processed by Facebook and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. Facebook describes in general terms what personal data is processed and how it is used in its data usage guidelines. In what manner Facebook uses the data from visits to Facebook pages for its own purposes, to what extent activities on the Facebook page are assigned to data subjects, how long Facebook stores this data and weather data from a visit to the Facebook page is disclosed to third parties, is not conclusively and clearly stated by Facebook and is not known to us.

When you access a Facebook page, the IP address assigned to your terminal device is transferred to Facebook. According to Facebook, this IP address is anonymized. Facebook also stores information about the end devices of its users (e.g. as part of the "login notification" function); this may enable Facebook to assign IP addresses to data subjects.

If you are currently logged in to Facebook as a user, a cookie with your Facebook ID is stored on your end device. This enables Facebook to track that you have visited this page and how you have used it. This also applies to all other Facebook pages. Facebook buttons embedded in websites enable Facebook to record your visits to these website pages and assign them to your Facebook profile. This data can be used to offer content or advertising tailored to you.

If you wish to avoid this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the "stay logged in" function, delete the cookies stored on your device and close and restart your browser. This will delete Facebook information that can be used to directly identify you. This allows you to use our Facebook page without revealing your Facebook identifier. When you access interactive features of the page (Like, Comment, Share, Message, etc.), a Facebook login screen will appear. Once you have logged in, you will again be recognizable to Facebook as a specific user.

Data Processing by Autoliv

Categories and source of personal data
When you interact with the Autoliv Facebook page, we process the following categories of your personal data:
• Your public profile information, including name.
• Your uploaded posts and comments you leave on a post.
• Personal data you provide when contacting Autoliv via the Facebook Messenger chat. This data is provided directly by you. You provide us with this personal data on a voluntary basis and are not obliged to do so.

Legal basis and purposes of data processing your personal data are processed by Autoliv based on our legitimate interest (pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR). The purpose of this processing is as follows:
• To evaluate analyses and statistics relating to user behavior on the Facebook page.
• To optimize the Facebook page in terms of its user-friendliness and attractiveness, and to introduce user-friendly marketing measures.
• Various forms of communication, questions, complaints, and interactions initiated by Facebook users.

Recipients
We will only disclose your personal data to other recipients if this is necessary to fulfil the purposes described, if you have given us your consent to do so or if we are obliged to do so by law or by a court or official order.

Transfer to Third Countries
In order to process messages from Facebook users efficiently, these, as well as the master data of the corresponding profile, are also processed outside the Autoliv Facebook page in systems for which Autoliv is responsible.

In general, your personal data will be processed in European countries. If, in exceptional cases, your personal data is processed in countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area (so-called third countries), this only takes place if certain protective measures ensure that an appropriate level of data protection is provided. Typically, we take the following protective measures for this purpose:

Data erasure and retention period
We only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described. The review of the time periods required for this is carried out through careful consideration, as part of which we closely examine the necessity of the data processing: If we process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests, this is done at the longest until your justified objection. Apart from that, we only retain your personal data insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations or for the preservation of evidence within the framework of the statutory limitation provisions. After expiry of the applicable retention periods, we will securely delete or anonymize your personal data.
