Created in July 2010, Amoéba is an innovative company whose initial objective was to develop a patent from the University of Lyon. This patent is based on a unique micro-organism, the amoeba Willaertia magna C2c Maky, which is able to fight against the proliferation of legionella. In July 2015, Amoéba was listed on the regulated market of Euronext, Paris. This successful IPO allowed the company to raise €13.2M. Thanks to this, Amoéba has been able to develop its scientific, industrial and commercial expertise around the amoeba. We are now able to offer technological solutions and products for different applications and industries. Amoeba has developed two technologies. The first one is used for the treatment of water, surfaces and chronic wounds and uses for that the natural biocidal capacity of the living amoeba Willaertia magna C2c Maky. The second technology is dedicated to agriculture and more precisely to biocontrol for the treatment of phytopathogenic microorganisms using the lysed (non-living) form of this same amoeba.
