As you've seen in our advertising, we are the place…”Where every purchase helps others!” You are probably asking yourself, “How does that work?” It’s quite easy. We take donations of gently used clothing and other items, sell them to you and other thrift customers in our stores, and then we distribute a significant portion of our profits to support eight different ministry partners. Our goal over the next 10 years is to distribute over $100 million to those ministries. We hope by donating and shopping with us you’ll help us achieve that goal. It starts with a donation network of over 2,300 locations that’s supplemented with home pick-ups. That’s how we get the items to sell in our stores. Check out americasthrift.com/donations to find a donation center near you or to arrange a home pick up. We process donations daily. Each day we put out approximately 8,000 items in each store for you to shop and find that special treasure. That’s why our logo says, ‘Where it’s a new store everyday.’ And I do mean special treasure. For someone that may mean it’s ‘Back to School’ time and you come into our store to outfit a growing family for under $50. For someone else it may be finding that unique cup and saucer that replaces the missing pieces of your grandmother’s china set. Whatever your treasure, you may find it in our stores, but only if you stop in each week. With 8,000 new items daily, you never know what you’ll find.
