Accelerate Cape Town is a business think tank, advocacy and networking organisation established to drive sustainable, inclusive economic growth in the Cape Town region.
Established in 2006, we act as the voice of corporate business and campaign for policies and practical measures that achieve the vision of ‘Cape Town – Africa’s global African City, a city of inspiration and innovation’. Our mission is to work with our member companies to grow a robust, sustainable and inclusive economy in the region.
We balance tackling issues that have an immediate and pressing impact on our Members with looking ahead to the what is possible and desirable in the region. We aim to make the Cape Town region the best place to do business in Africa, now and into the future.
We seek to ensure the city attracts and retains talent, is globally oriented and connected, and constantly innovating, focussing on what makes Cape Town’s economy distinctive. In our view, what is good for Cape Town is good for South Africa in driving growth, employment, innovation and enterprise.
