An eco-friendly Helium, from Europe and for Europe ! 👀 45-8 ENERGY IN A NUTSHELL: Helium is a strategic and critical resource, essential to many industries (medical, electronic, space, aeronautic...). Aware of the crucial issues of helium supply, the founding partners have, through the creation of 45-8 ENERGY in 2017, the will to use their solid experience in subsurface's exploration to satisfy the European market fully dependent on imports with a high carbon impact. The innovative approach of 45-8 ENERGY is also to co-valorise, in specific geological contexts, the resources associated with helium such as native hydrogen. At the same time, 45-8 ENERGY is conducting Research and Development projects with academic and industrial partners in order to develop effective and adapted technology to efficiently and reliably detect helium and its potential associated resources in the near surface. 🎯 45-8 ENERGY’S GOAL: At a time when 100% of European helium is imported at high energy costs, 45-8 Energy ambitions to develop a local helium supply chain which could therefore significantly reduce the environmental impact of such industry. With this in mind, 45-8 ENERGY intends to produce an eco-friendly helium, in Europe and for Europe, by 2023. 🤝 45-8 ENERGY’S SUPPORT: Since its creation in 2017, 45-8 ENERGY has received the support of many local actors but not only! It got the "Young Innovative Company" label in February 2019. It became laureate of « Réseau Entreprendre » in December 2018. Its activity and values have earned it the "Lorntech Excellence" award in September 2019. The CIIME accelerator has also trusted it since September 2018.
