NTPC, a power giant, partners with Macawber Beekay to produce green coal from municipal solid waste, reducing carbon emissions in electricity generation. Macawber Beekay secures three NTPC Green Coal projects in Noida, Bhopal, and Hubbali, aiming to treat 900 tonnes per day of MSW in Noida, 500 TPD in Bhopal, and 400 TPD in Hubbali. This initiative follows a successful project in Varanasi and will set up the largest waste-to-green coal plant in Greater Noida. The project is set for completion by August 2025, with the goal of significantly lowering carbon emissions in power generation.
