The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is transforming the landscape along the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor from Sahibabad to Shatabdi Nagar in Meerut by planting over 250,000 trees. These green guardians are being strategically placed along the route, at stations, and depots to create an environmentally sustainable and visually appealing environment. The selection of plant species includes vibrant blooms like bougainvillea and jasmine, showcasing a commitment to sustainability. NCRTC's green initiatives also include the use of fly ash bricks, rainwater harvesting systems, and solar energy utilization, transforming the infrastructure landscape one tree at a time.
NVVN welcomes bids for 1,562 kW Telangana rooftop solar projects
NTPC's subsidiary, NVVN, has invited bids from pre-approved contractors to establish 1,562 kW of rooftop solar power systems in Telangana for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The selected contractor will be responsible for operation and maintenance for ten years, with a completion timeline of three months.
