Memorial Day Weekend is a time of remembrance and relaxation, but it's important to know what's open and closed across the USA during this holiday.

On Monday, offices, schools, and some businesses will be closed to honor Memorial Day. The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq will be closed, along with most of the nation's banks following the Federal Reserve holiday schedule. The U.S. Postal Service and all post offices will be closed, with no deliveries except for Priority Mail Express. UPS and FedEx services will also be limited on Memorial Day.

While most stores and restaurants will be open for the holiday and holding sales over the weekend, Costco Wholesale clubs will be closed. However, competitors like Sam's Club and BJ's Wholesale Club, as well as national chains like Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowe's, will remain open.

Many schools and nonessential government offices will be closed for Memorial Day, so it's important to check school calendars and government schedules. Trash and recycling pickups will be delayed by a day, and parking meters and time-limit regulations won't be enforced.

In Philadelphia, schools, offices, and some businesses will also be closing for Memorial Day. Banks, the U.S. Postal Service, and most UPS and FedEx services will be closed as well. Stock markets will also be closed.

Stores and restaurants in Philadelphia will mostly remain open, with some offering sales over the holiday weekend. Costco Wholesale clubs will be closed, but competitors like Sam's Club and BJ's Wholesale Club, as well as national chains, will be open. Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations that are normally open on Monday will close at 5pm.

Grocery stores like Giant, Acme, Whole Foods, South Philly Food Co-op, Trader Joes, Weavers Way Co-op, and Aldi will be open, but some may have reduced hours. Reading Terminal Market will be closed for the holiday.

Malls like the Fashion District, King of Prussia Mall, Philadelphia Mills, and Cherry Hill Mall will be open, but The Shops at Liberty Place in Center City will be closed.

As you plan your Memorial Day Weekend activities, make sure to check what's open and closed in your area to avoid any surprises. Enjoy the holiday and take time to remember and honor those who have served our country.
