Beware of Fake Banking Apps in App Store

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a warning about fake applications pretending to be VTB and Tinkoff banks in the App Store. These apps aim to steal personal information. Despite having high ratings and using the banks' signature colors, they are not affiliated with VTB or Tinkoff Bank. The Ministry emphasized that these banks do not have any official apps in the App Store. Major Russian banks' mobile apps were removed from the App Store in 2022 due to the conflict in Ukraine. Recently, an app called "Tinkoff" appeared in the App Store as "T-Help," but it was quickly removed. Stay vigilant and only download apps from trusted sources to protect your personal data.
