March 26, 2024, 3:33 am
Today, 1991 Ventures unveiled a £15 million fund to support emerging talent in Ukraine and Central Eastern Europe (CEE) with global potential. Founded by Ukrainian brothers Denis and Viktor Gursky, the industry-agnostic fund aims to nurture startups solving real-world problems. Despite the challenges posed by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Gurskys have a proven track record of success with their previous ventures, including the creation of 1991 Mariupol, a beacon of innovation in East Ukraine. The fund plans to invest in over 40 companies, providing them with the resources they need to thrive on the global stage. With backing from esteemed partners Venrex and Samos Investments, 1991 Ventures is poised to make a significant impact in the tech startup ecosystem.
