UK cash deposit platform Flagstone has secured a £108 million equity investment from Estancia Capital Partners, a US financial services specialist private equity firm. Co-founded by Andrew Thatcher and Simon Merchant in 2015, Flagstone offers a platform for individual savers to access and maintain multiple cash savings accounts in one place. The investment will fuel Flagstone's growth, strengthen its position in the market, and reward early investors. Estancia's entry into the UK savings market marks a significant opportunity for disruption and innovation. The deal combines primary and secondary investments, with Estancia taking a minority stake in Flagstone. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024 after regulatory approvals.
