Launched by SoftBank Group in June 2020, the SB Opportunity Fund invests in U.S. companies led by Black, Latinx and Native American founders who use technology to reimagine traditional business models. The fund invests at the seed, venture, and growth stages and has invested more than $75M in over 70 companies.
Stacy Brown-Philpot, former CEO of TaskRabbit and former Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Google Ventures; Paul Judge, co-founder of TechSquare Labs and Pindrop; and Shu Nyatta, Managing Partner at SoftBank Group International, serve as the inaugural members of the Fund’s Investment Committee.
