Fondata nel 1998 da Interbanca S.p.A., Iniziativa Gestione Investimenti SGR S.p.A. (IGI) è una società di gestione del risparmio autorizzata e sottoposta alla vigilanza della Banca d’Italia iscritta al n. 17 dell’Albo delle Società di Gestione del Risparmio.

Dal 1998 al 2006, anno dell’uscita dal Gruppo Interbanca, IGI ha raccolto e gestito due fondi di investimento: IGI Investimenti e IGI Investimenti Due.

Nel 2006 IGI ha raccolto il fondo IGI Investimenti Quattro e a metà 2013, a seguito dell’acquisizione di Arca Impresa Gestioni SGR S.p.A., è subentrata nella gestione di altri due fondi d’investimento: IGI Investimenti Cinque (già Arca Impresa Tre) e IGI Investimenti Cinque Parallel (già Arca Impresa Tre Parallel).

Nel 2018 è stato lanciato il fondo IGI Investimenti Sei con un obbiettivo di raccolta di € 150 milioni. Si è perfezionato il Primo Closing il 1° ottobre 2018 e, un anno dopo, il Secondo Closing il 1° ottobre 2019.

Oggi IGI gestisce 4 fondi di investimento per un ammontare complessivo pari a circa € 250 milioni.
