BlueGem Capital Partners is a mid-market private equity manager focused on consumer brands across all consumer verticals. BlueGem has over €500 million in assets under management, raised from a global investor base. We seek to invest equity cheques of €15-75 million to accelerate the growth of leading consumer brands in Europe. These companies are typically valued between €15 million and €300 million. BlueGem comprises a team of experienced investors with a strong network of expert operating partners for each sector vertical. We take an entrepreneurial approach to portfolio management, acting as a hands-on partner in the value creation process. Our investment thesis includes both the commercial and operational support for fast-growing independent brands and the rejuvenation of undervalued brands. We have a proven track record of building successful partnerships with entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, other private equity firms and outstanding management teams. Our target sector is strongly benefiting from the internet revolution, shifting consumer spending away from the once dominant leaders, towards smaller independent brands. We are extremely disciplined investors and our added value comes from active and methodical portfolio management, as opposed to financial engineering and multiple expansion, creating superior returns to our investors to date.
