VEIR enables dramatically lower cost and more easily site-able electric transmission lines by utilizing commercial superconducting tape and a novel suite of technologies to enable transmission levels of power delivery over distribution scale infrastructure without resistive losses. This reduces permitting and right-of-way planning friction, thus dropping the design and deployment time and hence costs.
