Conductive polymer additives and solutions
DiStatTM additives are based on an engineered intrinsically conductive polymer (ICP) that forms highly porous and branched conductive particle dispersions. This structure enables a substantial reduction of required additive concentrations (1-5 wt% for DiStat vs 30-50 wt% for other additives) to obtain adequate conductive properties for ESD. The lower loadings increase transparency, adhesion and scratch resistance while also reducing viscosity and costs. DiStat is designed to extend ESD coating lifetime while improving mechanical and optical properties. PolyDrop?s proprietary synthesis routes produce highly conductive additives at low costs that enable competition in large-volume applications, such as paints and coatings.
