WHAT IS KAVERINI?
“Kaverini” is a series of RPG’s aimed at millennials. The core elements of the series is this: (1) you can play as any character you like, (2) you defeat enemies with emotional intelligence rather than with weapons and (3) all elements of the game world are based on the real-world location on the “box”.
So in the Austin, TX Adventure Box for the Tabletop game, all of the enemies, items and locations pay homage to Texan culture at large, and Austin in particular. For the upcoming “Kaverini: Nuuk Adventures” for Mobile Devices, the same holds true, with even the sound effects and the musical soundtrack also paying homage to Greenlandic culture.
“Kaverini” is not marketed as an educational game, but upon the completion of the plot in any of the games, the players will feel as though they have visited the place in question. The art style features bright colors and 1990’s style graphics meant to evoke nostalgia and simpler times.
