Faradair is the UK's pioneering Hybrid Electric Regional Aircraft development company founded in 2014. A multi-award winning company that has spoken at conferences throughout the world surrounding advance air mobility. It has developed a unique aircraft concept called the BEHA (Bio Electric Hybrid Aircraft) and is based from the Iconic Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire. Faradair is joined by a world class consortium, including Honeywell, MagniX, Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, Nova Systems, Cambridge Consultants, IWM Duxford, Gonville & Caius College, Swansea University and many more, developing an 18 seat utility hybrid electric aircraft that is fully Net Zero capable in the near future. The E-STOL (Electric Short Take-Off and Landing) BEHA is capable of conducting Regional mobility of people, mobility of cargo, Wildfire fighting, Government special missions and fully autonomous unmanned flight capability with no airport or air network infrastructure changes. Forecast to make first flight in 2024 from Duxford Airfield, the company has pledged to deliver 300 hybrid-electric aircraft into service by 2030, via deployments throughout the world. Faradair is fully committed to sustainable aviation and a drive toward Net Zero emissions. In initial configuration the unique triple boxwing configuration will lift significant payload, up to 5 tonnes, taking off and landing in less than 300m of variable surface runway. Powered by a Turbogenerator using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), delivering 1MW of electrical power to two primary electric propulsion motors in contra-rotating, pusher propfan configuration, the BEHA is a true clean sheet designed aircraft for the 21st century. The Electric-jet age has begun. Full details can be found at; www.faradair.com Thank you for joining us on our journey!
