Founded in 1979, Pune-based Uma Precision was the market leader in manufacturing precision assemblies, systems, machines and press parts for OEMs. Diversified, Uma features a branded retail chain for coil foam mattresses for automotive and private use. Jina Ventures and H&M invested originally invested in Uma in September 2005, with a follow-on investment in July 2006. Jina Ventures exited its investment in Uma in 2007. Uma was thereafter acquired by Duke Industries.
