The solar-powered facility currently has a capacity of 45,000 stoves per month and employs over 400 people, 60% of whom are women. The company is founded by CEO Peter Scott who is a global leader in cookstove commercialization. BURN has received recognition for its work from the Ashden International Awards (2015) and Fortune Magazine (2011).
