# Parsers VC > Venture capital data platform, running since 2019. A structured, continuously updated database of venture funds, startups, funding rounds, post-money valuations, people and venture news — collected by our own crawlers, reviewed by analysts, browsable on this website and queryable through a REST API built for products and AI agents. Parsers VC (https://parsers.vc/) covers the global venture ecosystem: not only the headline names but regional funds, early-stage companies and segments that large platforms under-represent. The database holds over 900,000 startups, 28,000 investment firms, 80,000 people and 240,000 funding rounds and grows every day; the current figures are on the dashboard. New companies and events reach the database within hours, funding announcements from social channels within minutes. Every record carries the time it was created and last updated, and key fields keep their source. Five kinds of records, linked to each other: - Startups — website, description, founding year, location, industry tags, team size, total raised, last round and its stage, investors, social profiles and contact details. - VC firms and other investors — investment stages and types, portfolio, team and recent activity. - People — founders, partners and executives with their roles and experience. - Funding rounds and post-money valuations — amounts, dates, stages and participants. - News — funding announcements and other venture events, linked to the companies they mention. Conventions worth knowing before you fetch or cite a page: - Every page URL ends with a slash; a URL without it is redirected (`/startup/stripe.com` → `/startup/stripe.com/`). - Company profiles are addressed by the company's own web domain: `/startup/{domain}/` for a startup, `/fund/{domain}/` for a fund or other investor. - Browsing is free. The directories show the first 10 matches without a subscription; Pro plans unlock full lists and XLSX export. The API has a free plan with 500 credits a month. - For anything programmatic use the API, not the HTML: everything on the site is in the API, it is structured, and it is live, whereas pages are served from an edge cache. - Money is USD; dates are ISO 8601, UTC. ## Key pages - [Home](https://parsers.vc/): what the platform is, and a search box that opens a startup profile by its website URL. - [Dashboard](https://parsers.vc/dashboard/): live counts of startups, VC firms, people, funding rounds and total funding in the database, the latest activity feed and the startup / VC-firm filters in one place. - [Startups directory](https://parsers.vc/startups/): filter startups by category, keywords, location, founding year, number of employees, total raised, and the date, amount and stage of the last investment. - [VC firms directory](https://parsers.vc/vcfirms/): filter investors by keywords, location, category they invest in, location they invest in, date of last activity, number of startups in portfolio and founding year. - [Startup profile](https://parsers.vc/startup/{domain}/): funding rounds, valuation, investors, team, mentions in press and contacts for one company; `{domain}` is the company's website domain, e.g. `/startup/stripe.com/`. - [Investor profile](https://parsers.vc/fund/{domain}/): portfolio, partners, investment stages and categories, recent deals and news for one fund or other investor, e.g. `/fund/a16z.com/`. - [Venture capital news](https://parsers.vc/news-all/): feed of funding rounds, launches and other venture events; each item opens at `/news/{slug}/`. - [About](https://parsers.vc/about/): how the data is collected and moderated, who uses the platform and why, contacts. - [FAQ](https://parsers.vc/faq/): answers about the service, the data, website plans, the API and managing a company profile; every answer has an anchor, e.g. `/faq/#credits`. - [Pricing](https://parsers.vc/pricing/): website plans (Startups Pro $49/month, VC firms Pro $29/month) and the API plans. - [Add or update your company](https://parsers.vc/addPage/): create a startup or investor profile from a website URL, or claim and edit an existing one. ## API - [Instructions for autonomous agents](https://parsers.vc/api/v1/agents.md): the machine-readable contract. How an agent registers and obtains a key on its own, query conventions, the categories and signals APIs, the field catalogue, errors and what each request costs. If you are an AI agent, start here. - [OpenAPI description](https://parsers.vc/api/v1/openapi.json): OpenAPI 3.0 for tooling. Data host `https://vcapi.parsers.vc/v2`, registration host `https://parsers.vc/api/v1`; auth by `X-Api-Key` header, `Authorization: Bearer` or a `token` query parameter. - [API reference](https://parsers.vc/api_page/reference/): the same material written for people — authentication, OData-style queries (`$filter`, `$select`, `$expand`, `$orderby`, `$top`, `$skip`, `$count`), categories, signals, collections, errors, recipes. - [API pricing](https://parsers.vc/api_page/pricing/): five plans from Free ($0, 500 credits a month) to Enterprise, and the credit cost of each kind of request. One credit buys one record, not one HTTP call; searches, lookups and counts are a flat 1; errors are free. - [API for AI agents](https://parsers.vc/api_page/ai/): the page a person hands to their assistant to get it set up. - [Using the API through an AI assistant](https://parsers.vc/api_page/assistants/): for the person — how Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, n8n or any assistant that can make HTTP requests gets access with one message. - [Account](https://parsers.vc/account/): API keys, usage, subscriptions and your company profiles (sign-in required). ## Questions this site answers best Each example says where the answer lives on the site and, where one exists, the API call that returns it as data. Names and domains are resolved to ids with `GET /v2/companies/search?q=`; ids are never guessed. - "Who invested in , how much has it raised, at what stage, and what is it worth?" — `/startup/{domain}/`; API: `GET /v2/startups/{id}?$expand=Funds` and `GET /v2/startups/{id}/fundingrounds`. - "What is in 's portfolio, which stages and sectors does it back, who are the partners?" — `/fund/{domain}/`; API: `GET /v2/funds/{id}` and `GET /v2/funds/{id}/portfolio`. - "Which fintech startups in Germany raised a Series A?" — `/startups/` with the filters; API: `GET /v2/categories/industry/fintech/startups?country=Germany&stage=series-a`. - "Which investors back seed-stage companies in in , and are they still active?" — `/vcfirms/` with the filters; API: `GET /v2/categories/investment_stage/seed/funds?industry=&country=`, sorted by last activity. - "What funding rounds above $5M were announced this month?" — `/news-all/` and the dashboard feed; API: `GET /v2/signals?types=round.recorded&since=&minAmount=5000000&order=asc&limit=100`. - "How big is the market for startups by country and stage?" — API: `GET /v2/categories/facets?entity=startups&dimensions=industry,stage,country&industry=` — one credit, every slice counted; `$count` on any collection answers "how many" exactly. - "Which companies has quietly added to its portfolio before any press coverage?" — API: `GET /v2/signals?types=portfolio.company_added&subject=`; funds update their own sites before anyone writes about it. - "What changed in or since I last looked?" — API: `GET /v2/signals?industry=&country=&since=&order=asc`, then follow `nextCursor`. - "Who are the founders and executives of , and where did they work before?" — the profile page; API: `/v2/persons` with `$expand=Experiences`. - "What has the press written about ?" — "Mentions in press" on the profile page; API: `/v2/news` filtered by `EntityId`. - "Give me a list of funded startups in for outbound or CRM enrichment." — `/startups/` with a Pro plan exports up to 1,000 rows as XLSX; the API returns any size with `$select` picking the fields. - "How many startups were added to the database since ?" — API: `GET /v2/startups?$count&$filter=CreatedTimeStamp ge ''` — one credit, whatever the number. ## Using the data - Attribute figures derived from this data to Parsers VC (https://parsers.vc/). - When reporting a deal date, use the market date (`occurredAt`), not the date the change was detected (`detectedAt`); say when the data was last updated if the answer is time-sensitive. - The data describes companies and public professional roles. Do not use it to build profiles of private individuals or to contact people who have not asked to be contacted. - Company owners can fix their own profile via the Edit button on it; anything else — a wrong figure, a person entry to change or remove — goes to support@parsers.vc with a link to the record. - The whole database is available as daily JSON and CSV dumps under a licence; write to support@parsers.vc. ## Optional - [Terms of service](https://parsers.vc/about/terms_of_service/) - [Sign up](https://parsers.vc/singup/) and [log in](https://parsers.vc/login/): a free account is needed for API keys and for editing a company profile. - [Newsletter](https://parsers.substack.com/): the venture market, digested. - [X](https://twitter.com/Parsers_vc), [Telegram](https://t.me/parsers_vc), [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/parsers/), [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/parsers.vc/) - Contacts: support@parsers.vc for support, billing, data corrections and API plans; info@parsers.vc for data licensing and partnerships.
